| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, May 16, 2014: “Johnny Dale ‘Doug’ Berry, 61 of Powderly, died on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at his home. Wood Funeral Homes will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Union Grove Cemetery in Reno. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. He was born in Lamar County on Aug. 22, 1952, the son of John O. and Avis Patris Berry. He married Brenda Trussell on Aug. 5, 1970. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Berry of the home; his daughters, Marshal Ashford and husband, Leighton of Powderly and Lisa LaForge of Texarkana; brothers, Larry Berry and wife, Pat of Paris, Kay Berry and wife, Violet and James Moss and wife, Brenda, all of Powderly; grandchildren, Landon LaForge and Lydia Wilson, Leighton and Logen Ashford, Tori Ashford, Lindsey LaForge, Billy North and Spencer Ashford; great-grandchildren, Addison ‘Hot Mess’ Ashford, Paxton 'Hoss' Ashford and Dustin Fox Gilbert; special friends, C.O. Jackson; John Kelsey; and Jerry Kyle.” |
