| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Apr. 02, 2010: “Joe Alvis ‘Dooney’ Blackwell, 76, of Paris died Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Freedom Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. with Supt. Bruce Rollerson officiating. Interment follows in Fairland Littlejohn Cemetery. Maxey Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. He was born March 2, 1934, to the late Bubba and Berda Blackwell Bailey. He was a member of Freedom Tabernacle Church of God In Christ. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Blackwell. He is survived by daughter, Charlene Blackwell Nolan of Altus, Okla.; brothers, L. A. Thomas of Paris and Cleotis Bailey of Hugo, Okla.; sister, Olean Bailey of Hugo; grandchildren, Whitney Blackwell of Altus, Okla., Terrance Blackwell and James Ellis Blackwell, both of Duncan, Okla., and Dennis Nolan Jr., of Altus, Okla.” |
