THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, August 9, 1960 p. 2: “Thompson Rites. The funeral of Albert H. Thompson, 82, who died Sunday, was set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gene Roden & Sons chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gene Burgess of Immanuel Baptist Church. Interment was arranged in Camp Shed Cemetery in Mt. Joy community, in Delta County, and named b«arers were Troy Simpkins, Randy Satcher, Arnold Jones, Travis Coston, W. T. Rainey and Jimmy Woodall. Mr. Thompson, son of the late Cy and Martha Caroline Thompson, was born in Delta County, December 13, 1878. He was a retired farmer, rooming here at 137 3rd NW, where he became ill Sunday. His death occurred that afternoon at a hospital. Five children, all living in California, survive.”
