THE PARIS NEWS, May 12, 2010: “Yolaine Frank Borg, 74, of Houston died Saturday, May 1, 2010, of natural causes at North Cypress Medical Center in Houston. Bright Holland Funeral Homes has scheduled graveside services for 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, at the Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. She was born in 1936 in New Ulm, Minn., to the late Francis and Violet Frank. She moved to Paris in 1942 with her mother, father and younger brother. After completing high school in Paris, she attended Texas Woman’s University School of Nursing in Denton and became a nurse. She was married in Paris in 1956 to Victor Borg. She moved to New York where she raised three children. In 1976, she moved to Houston where she continued helping people as a Health Care Professional (Nurse) at Tomball Regional Hospital. She was a beautiful, kind, compassionate and independent woman who made many lifelong friends. She dearly loved her family and had a special place in her heart for all of God’s animals. She cared for many pets as well as stray animals throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed many things. Reading a good book was her favorite pasttime. She could consume a novel in a single day! “Yo,” as she was known to her friends, was one of God’s most wonderful people. She made this world a better place and will be greatly missed by all that had the honor and the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her daughters, Victoria Borg (Carl) of New York and Stacy Byrd (Brian) of Houston; son, Michael Borg of Houston; brother, Denis Frank (Joyce) of Paris; four grandchildren, Amanda Borg, Sarah Borg, Allison Byrd and Brady Byrd; nephews, Brian Frank (Christy) and Brent Frank (Lisa); niece, Alicia Hutchins (Jason); step-brother, Richard Margraves (Betty) of Paris; and best friends, Marie Wright and Mary Ann Leech.
