THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, Mar. 6, 2018, page 5: “Pattie Ruth Bates, 62 of Paris, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, in Paris. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at East Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Henry Blackmon and Bro. Brandon Teague officiating. Burial will follow in East Post Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home Wednesday, from 6-7 p.m. Pattie was born May 16, 1955, in Paris, a daughter of Alvis Wayne and Billie Ruth Lee Bates. She was a cosmetologist and a homemaker. She was a member of East Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Billie Ruth Bates; grandparents, William (Bill) and Rhoda Lee and W. A. (Bill) and Clara Bates. She is survived by her children, Lisa Mullens and husband, Paul, Chad Long and wife, Ginger, Amanda White and husband, Bryan, Stephanie Hutchings and husband, Eric; grandchildren, Jaxon Hutchings, Chris Eller, Maverick Mullens, Brayden Mullens, Mathew Long, Trestin Long, Daylenn Long, Paxton Long, Ezelyn Long; great-grandchildren, Corbin Mullens and Allanah Mullens; brother, Mark Bates and wife, Tammie; nephew Aaron Bates and wife, Angela; and niece, Leah Morales and husband, Eddie. Pallbearers will be, Paul Mullens, Eric Hutchings, Aaron Bates, Maverick Mullens, Mathew Long and Eddie Morales. Online condolences may be made atfry-gibbs.com.” Submitted by Mary J.
