THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, September 6, 1960, p. 2: “MICHAEL TRUITT. Michael Dean Truitt, nearly four, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Truitt, 208-21st SE, died Monday at 11 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He had been ill some time. The Mass of the Angels will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church by the pastor, the Rev. Ben Mysllwiec, Gene Roden & Sons sending the body to Bradenton, Fla., for burial. The child was born in Tallahassee, Fla. November 28, 1956. Besides the father and the mother, the former Miss Rita Regnier, survivors are two sisters Beth Ann and Donna Truitt.”

THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, September 7, 1960, p. 2: “TRUITT RITES. Funeral rites for Michael Dean Truitt, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Truitt, 208-21st SE, were conducted Wednesday morning at Our Lady of Victory Church. Bearers were John Willie Biard, Waldo E. Burnam, Jim Coleman and James B. Rutledge. Burial was to be made at Bradenton, Fla., the family’s former home.”
