MEMPHIS DAILY APPEAL (Memphis, Tennessee), Monday, November 14, 1887, p. 3: “N. E. Beck, of Paris, Tex., passed through the city last Saturday, en route to Holly Springs, Miss., with the remains of his brother, John J. Beck, of Ashland, Miss., who lived in Paris, Tex., on the 12th instant.”
J. J. Beck, age 10, is enumerated with brother, N. Research indicates J. J. Beck was born November 29, 1869 and died Nov. 12, 1887 and is interred in Beck Cemetery, Benton County, Mississippi.
