THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, June 10, 1942, p. 1: “BANNER INFANT. Dickey, one of twin sons born Monday, morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Banner of 405 E. Polk St., died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to Brown-Roden Funeral Home, the funeral was arranged for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Secrest-Crowder Funeral Home in Ft. Worth, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery there. Surviving are the child’s parents, two brothers, Nicky and Teddy, and three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Banner and Mrs. Katherine Welter of Ft. Worth. The father is connected here with the U.S. Engineers organization in construction of Camp Maxey."
