THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, June 5, 1942, p. 1: “CHILD DIES IN FALL FROM BED. Infant Of Defense Worker Will Be Buried At Kaufman. Perry Lee Benson, six-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Benson, died of a fractured neck vertebrae early Thursday afternoon when he fell from a bed at his parents’ lodgings north of town. The parents came here recently from Kaufman. Mr. Benson being employed in construction work at Camp Maxey. The child was brought here to the office of a physician who pronounced it dead. The body was taken Friday morning to Kaufman for burial.”
