Information from funeral home: Ronald Earl Belshe of Richardson, TX passed from this earth on November 27, 2017. He will forever be remembered for his firm but fair demeaner, quick witted sense of humor, patriotism, and unforgettable smile. He had an infectious personality, the willingness to see a problem thru to its end, and the ability to complete just about any task or project he set his mind to, and he loved to sing. If you knew him you loved him. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny R. Belshe; mother, Olsie Carolyn Belshe; brother; Johnny R. Belshe, Jr., father and mother in-law: Frank Clifford Wheeler and Irene Brown Wheeler, daughter; Jenny Rebecca Belshe, and grandson; Noah Fox. Ron is survived by his loving wife Rebecca, son Scott Belshe and wife Angie, grandchildren, Andrew Belshe, Jonathan Belshe, Preston Reed, Rachel Fox, Hannah Fox, Sarah Fox, and Jeremy White, sisters; Jeanette Conger-Hanes, Sandy Thorp, Becky Hanson-Copeland, Robbie Boles, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Born June 21, 1949 in Breckenridge, TX he was the next to youngest of 6 children. Ron joined the Army at age 16 and served until he was Honorably Discharged in 1973, completing 6 years of decorated active duty service to his country, including obtaining his high school diploma, and serving in the Vietnam War. Leaving the Army Ron worked in a variety of occupations closely related to automotive parts sales and customer service. Later, Ron also served in the Texas Army National Guard. Services will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Garland, TX on Saturday December 2, 2017. Visitation is 12:00noon to 1:00pm and Funeral Service will begin at 1:00pm. Following the service Ron’s family will travel to his final resting place at Post Oak, TX for a graveside service.
