THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, March 12, 1937, p. 12: “Mrs. Marvin Balch of Soper, Okla., is at the Sanitarium of Paris for surgical treatment.”
THE PARIS NEWS, 23 Mar 1937, p. 2: “MRS. M. G. BALCH OF SOPER DIES HERE - Death of Mrs. Anna Balch of Soper, Okla., 65 years old, wife of Marvin G. Balch, occurred on Tuesday morning, at 4:45 o’clock at the Sanitarium of Paris where she recently underwent a major operation. The body was returned to Oklahoma by Manton-Fry funeral home, services to be held, some time Wednesday at Antlers.”
Information from Ron Brothers: Anna Elizabeth Deaton married first to Daniel Tennessee Billings on 27 Oct 1895 in Lamar County. After his death in 1930 she married Marvin G. Balch. The date is unknown at this time but she probably married in Choctaw County, Oklahoma (as there is no record in Lamar County) where she was living at the time of Mr. Billings death.
