Information from funeral home: Floyd William “Bill” Bockius, 64, of Sumner, passed away at his home, Friday, October 17, 2014. Bright-Holland funeral Home has scheduled services for 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Chisum Trails Cowboy Church with Reverend James McLeod officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation scheduled. Mr. Bockius was born November 24, 1949 in Bartlesville, OK to Ernest Bruce Bockius and Tina Totteiger Bockius. He enjoyed a career in Road Construction, especially the years he was employed with Scotty’s Construction in Boling Green, KY. Bill loved auctioneering and many times, people came just to hear his delivery at sales. On March 2, 2007, in Leitchfield, KY he married Saundra Janaee Ruth. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ernie Bonham and one sister, Ylitta Meade. Survivors include his wife, two sons, both of Claremore, OK; one grandson, of Claremore, OK; two sisters, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and a host of friends.
