THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, Mar. 30, 2017, page 3: “Johnny D. Todd, 73 of Lamar Point, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Funeral services have been set for Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Rogers and Danny Bramlett officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sept. 11, 1943, to Johnny L. and Ella Mae Harrison Todd. He married Sheila Shew, on Dec. 24, 1960. Johnny retired from TxDOT and was a faithful member of Family Worship Center. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shelia Todd; children, Melodie Carty and husband, Tony, Scotty Todd and wife, Angie, and Dawn Parson and husband, Montie; grandchildren, Ashley Briggs, Kimberly Rhein, Dakota Jones, Kolt Thompson, Katelyn Kinslow, Montana Parson, Jessica Todd, Scottlyn Black, Jessica Coulter and Jeri Lynn Watt; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny L. and Ella Mae Harrison Todd. Pallbearers will be Codi Creighton, Rickey Beard, Randy Beard, Danny Bramlett, Jeff Roberts and Stacy Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Wayne Baker and Larry Sisson Jr. Online condolences may be sent to the Todd family at fry-gibbs.com.” Submitted by Mary J. Tallant.
