THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, November 26, 1936, p.4: “Mrs. Elizabeth Britt. Mrs. Elizabeth Britt of 267 South Twenty-third street, 85 years old, died at 1 o’clock Thursday morning at her home. The body was taken by Emberson-Brown-Roden, funeral directors to Mount Pleasant, where services will be held Friday morning at 10 o’clock. A daughter, Mrs. Dollie Cook of Paris, and a son, Buck Britt of Bazoria, survive.”
