THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, February 17, 1936, p. 2: FUNERAL FOR MISS BAILEY ON MONDAY. Last Rites At Funeral Home For Paris Woman Who Died Sunday. “Last rites for Miss Annie Bailey, 65 years old, who died Sunday morning of a stroke, were arranged for 3 o’clock Monday afternoon at Manton-Fry funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Homer T. Fort of First Methodist church, assisted by the Rev. J. H. Westbrook of Roxton, with interment at Roxton cemetery. Dr. A. L. Jones, John Shivers, P. W. Coffey, George Robertson, Eddie Jenkins and L. H. Reaves were named pallbearers. Miss Bailey, who was born in Alabama, had lived in Paris about 25 years and made her home with her sister, Mrs. B. B. Brashears on North Eighteenth street where she died. Surviving are four sisters and five brothers. Mrs. Brashears, Mrs. Tom Landers, Roxton; Mrs. Bill Ecton of Quitaque, Texas; Mrs. Elizabeth Hedges, Texarkana, Ark., C. C. Bailey, Maud, Okla.; S. E. Bailey, Salina, Kans; R. L. Bailey Sapulpa, Okla, and W. J. Bailey, San Angelo.”
