THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, August 24, 2015: "Gay Osburn Beam, 66, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015, at her home in Pelham, Alabama. Pamela Gay Beam was born to Charles and Naomi Osburn in El Dorado, Arkansas, on Aug. 23, 1948. She was a teacher of Honors English for 34 years, having taught in Fort Smith, Springdale, Fayetteville and El Dorado, Arkansas. She also taught at North Garland High School in Garland, Texas. Mrs. Beam held a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a Masters Degree from SMU at Dallas, Texas. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas. Survivors include her mother, Naomi H. Osburn and her sister Rena Bussey, both of Pelham, Alabama; her nephew Nicholas Charles Bussey of Alabaster, Alabama; her niece, Mecca Murrah and great-nephew Cameron Chase Murrah of Vestavia, Alabama.; and her caregivers, Caroline Chamberlain and Lacey, also of Pelham. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas with the Rev. Don Morton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the Beam family at fry-gibbs.com."
