The Paris News, Oct. 11, 2013; Jimmy Boxx, 74 of Paris, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Dubuis Hospital in Paris. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Maj. John Tolan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, at the Funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. Jimmy Edd Boss was born Oct. 30, 1938 in the High community of Lamar County, to James Leon and Utha Nell Turley Boss. He married Linda Fay Vickers on Feb. 28, 1964 in Lamar County. Jimmy owned and operated Boss Plumbing for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Boss is survived by his wife, Linda Vickers Boss; four children, Denisa Boss, Lisa Ward and husband, Chad, Edward Boss and Eugene Boss and wife, Brenda; eight grandchildren, Stephany Boss Modl, Lindsey Ward Grubbs, Chance Ward, Anthony Boss, Tristan Boss, Lucinda Boss Love, Gene Boss, Jr. and Jessie Wade Boss; a great-grandson, Tanner Grubbs; a sister, Judy Hodges; and his step-mother, Marie Boss. Pallbearers will be Chance Ward, Ricky Grubbs, Scott Modl, Norman Lott, Bynard Malone and Jerry6 McFadden. Online condolences may be made to the Boss family by visiting fry-gibbs.com.
