THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, March 24, 1935, p. 11: “C. J. TITUS OF AVERY DIES HERE SUNDAY. C. J. Titus of Avery, 60 years old, died at 5:50 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Sanitarium of Paris where he was brought a few days ago, seriously ill. He was the father of Miss Clara Avery, registered nurse here. The funeral will be held at Avery, probably Monday.”
