| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 18, 2010: “Virginia Bell Deering Thielman, 84, formerly of Paris died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, in Longview. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home is to conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Meadowbrook Gardens Cemetery with Dr. John Kelley officiating. She was born in Amarillo May 31, 1925, a daughter of J. L. and Effie Baker Deering. She married Dean Jones March 8, 1941, in Hugo and later married Travis E. Thielman Oct. 15, 1955, in Atoka, Okla. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1994. She was employed by Campbell’s Ice Cream Plant and was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Jones Nelson Dec. 15, 2009. She is survived by her son-in-law, Ernie Nelson of Longview; grandchildren, Vance Nelson, Jared Nelson, Crystal Nelson Fearon, Susan Nelson Burnam; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jo Deering; an aunt, Mamie LeFlore; niece, Sandy Hurst; and several cousins and sisters-in-law.
