THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 28, 2010: “Patricia Ann Evans Bellamy, 78, left those who love her Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, in Hot Springs, Ark. Funeral services are to be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at First United Methodist Church of Paris with Rev. Van Lazaroff and Rev. Gary Reagan officiating under the direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Honorary conductor of services will be Ray Starnes. Visitation is to be at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday. She was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Harlingen, to Daniel John and Anna Douglas Evans. Her family moved to Houston in 1939 where she attended public schools in Houston and graduated from Lamar High School in 1950. She attended The University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She married Earl DeLaine Bellamy Jr. in Houston on June 16, 1953. They lived in Galveston, Washington D.C., Sacramento, Calif., and New Orleans, La., while he was earning his medical degrees. In 1963 they moved to Paris. Her constant source of pride and love were her four daughters, their husbands and seven grandchildren. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a past-president of Circle I, King’s Daughters and life member of L.P. McCuistion Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She also was an active member and participant in various organizations supporting her four daughters’ school and extra-curricular activities. She was a member of the board of directors of Paris Savings and Loan Association; she was involved in the thoroughbred horse industry for more than 30 years. She and her husband owned and operated The Bellamy Stable, LLC. Through this venue she established many lifelong friendships around the country. Oak Lawn Park was the ‘home base’ and she loved her home in Hot Springs with many caring neighbors and friends. She was a remarkable lady whose gifts and talents are impossible to capture in a few paragraphs. Her kindness and generosity to those who knew her was abundant and her ability to welcome a stranger was inspiring. She lived her life selflessly as she supported and nurtured her husband and four daughters through set backs and victories. She never missed an activity that involved a member of the family. You could always find her smiling face among the crowd. Her words of encouragement through the years have been a source of comfort to all of us. Her sense of integrity is her legacy and the memory of who she was will make us forever grateful. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Daniel John Evans Jr. She is survived by her husband and her four daughters, Lynn Bellamy Newman and husband, Cam, of Fort Worth; Karen Bellamy Ingram and husband, Terry, of Tulsa, Okla.; Marian Bellamy Smith and husband, Mark, of Shreveport, La.; Susan Bellamy Wilson and husband, Kyle, of McKinney; seven grandchildren, Justin Smith and Jeremy Smith and fiancé Katie Crawford of Shreveport, La.; Lindsey Wilson, Evan Wilson and Ben Wilson of McKinney; Chance Newman of Ft.
