THE PARIS NEWS, Aug. 15, 2010: "Linda Gail Maddox Barber, 66, of Paris died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, in Plano Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Interment follows in Woodland Cemetery. Family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. THE PARIS NEWS, Aug. 16, 2010: "Linda Gail Maddox Barber, 66, of Paris died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, in Plano Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Cates officiating and Carl McAdams is to give a eulogy. Burial follows in the Woodland Cemetery. Family receives friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. She was born June 30, 1944, in Borger, a daughter of T. J. and Colleen W. Gray Maddox. She was a graduate of Borger High School and was member of the Woodland United Methodist Church. She was a phlebotomist for many years for the late Dr. Larry Walker and Dr. Richard Bercher and St. Joseph's Hospital. On July 3, 1991, she married Travis Barber in Paris. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and she had unconditional love for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda C. Janeway; granddaughter, Ellen Ashley Bruce; and great-grandson, Case Grant Boutwell. She is survived by her spouse, Travis L. Barber; children, Darrell Bruce and wife, Sally, Christi Bruce, Pam Allmon and husband, Carl, Travis L. Barber, Zana Heffernan and husband, Dennis; parents, T. J. and Colleen Maddox; brother, Larry Maddox and wife, Eileen Maddox; grandchildren, Heather Wells and husband, Nick, Jay Dykes and wife, Britni; Madeline Bruce, Hunter Bruce, Jennifer Moyer and husband, Tim, Patrick Allmon and wife, Bri, Stephanie Boutwell and husband, Shawn, Jason Barber and wife, Selena, Kc Barber, Jeremy Michael Heffernan, Gabriel David Heffernan; numerous great-grandchildren, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Serving as pallbearers are Joey Copeland, Murphy Fleet, Mike Wisdom, Jason Crane, Mack Grange, Jay Brent McAdams and Joe Dan McAdams. Honorary pallbearers are Kerry Dykes, Cody Dykes, Jerry Dan Grange, Billy Fred Maddox, Wylie Dykes, Joe Grange and Greg Ryan.
