THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, July 10, 2016, page A3: “Janice Scott Ingram, 88 of Paris, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016, in Paris. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, under the open air chapel at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. James McLeod officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Connie Tyson, Mike Secrest, Derald Bulls, Aaron Burcombe, Kaz Marcisz and Silas Taylor. Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Monday at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Ingram was born on Nov. 1, 1927, in Lamar County. She was the daughter of Joe W. Scott and Mary Elizabeth Hamby Scott. She attended the Cunningham School until 1943, graduated from Deport High School in 1944, and graduated from Paris Junior College in 1946. She retired from First National Bank after 36 years of service as assistant vice president and was a member of First Baptist Church where she worked in the pre-school department. Janice married Lewis V. Ingram on May 25, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joe W. and Elizabeth Scott; her brother, Willard Scott and wife Doris Floyd Scott; and brother-in-law Harold D. Lowe. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Ingram Williams; son, Bill Ingram and wife Jo Lee; granddaughters, Jessica Ingram Marcisz and husband Kaz, and Kelsey Ingram and fiancee’ Aaron Burcombe; and sister, Virginia Scott Lowe.
