THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, May 9, 1934, p. 8: "C. E. BARBER DIES AT GLORY TUESDAY. Charles E. Barber, 76 years old, died of a heart attack Tuesday afternoon near Glory, as he was sitting under a tree at his home there. The funeral was set for 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Friendship afternoon at Friendship, south of Biardstown, with burial in the cemetery there."
