THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, March 6, 1919, p. 3: "CLARKSVILLE MAYOR'S WIFE DIES IN PARIS. Mrs. Emma Terry the wife of C. E. Terry, mayor of Clarksville, died at 1 o'clock yesterday morning at the Sanitarium of Paris, where she had been a patient the past few weeks. She was fifty years old and was Miss Baldwin before her marriage. She moved to Clarksville when she was a small child with her widowed mother, who survives her and still makes her home in Clarksville. Besides her mother and husband she leaves three sons, Gilbert, Harvey and Charles Terry, and a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Smith. The eldest son, Gilbert, is with the army in France, and the other children all live in Clarksville. Most of the family were present when she died, and several relatives and friends came over to accompany the remains back to Clarksville yesterday afternoon. Among them were Postmaster J. F. Kunkel and wife, William McMaster and J. A. Kunkel of Clarksville and J. S. Terry and wife of Terrell. The funeral will be held in the Methodist church at Clarksville this afternoon at 2 o'clock."
