THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 11, 2009: “HUGO, Okla., James L. ‘Buddy’ Beard, 80, of Hugo, Okla., died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Clayton Avenue Baptist Church in Hugo. Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Visitation is to be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home.”
