THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 13, 2009: “CLARKSVILLE, Perry Leo Tucker, 74, of Hope, Ark., formerly of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, in Christus Saint Michael Hospital in Texarkana. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial follows in Savannah Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. He was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Avery to Perry and Myrtle Foster Tucker. He retired from the Red River Army Depot and was a member of Avery Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth Tucker; a sister, Ann Hackler; a brother, Oscar Tucker; and a nephew, Bruce Hackler. Survivors include one son, Ronnie Tucker of Clarksville; three daughters, Judy De La Mare and husband, Les, of Clarksville, April Stout of Hope, Ark., and Dallas Switzer of Emmet, Ark.; two sisters, Vivian Ballew of Troup and Jimmie Ruth Smith of Clarksville; one brother, Ray Tucker of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are G. A. Hines, J. B. Weems, Herman Ballew, Larry Roseberry, Gerald Holder and Richard Roseberry. Online condolences may be made to the Tucker family at www.clarksvillefuneralhome.com.”
