THE PARIS NEWS, Aug. 17, 2009: “BOGATA, Gladis Lee Belcher, 76, of Sherman and formerly of Cuthand died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, in Wylie. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Cuthand Methodist Church in Red River County. Burial is to be in Cuthand Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home of Bogata. The family receives friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. He was born April 24, 1933, in Cuthand, son of Gladis and Verlee Gibson Belcher. He had been a resident of Sherman for the past 35 years. He retired from Martin Construction Company in 1980. He is survived by his children, Meralee Belcher of Wylie, Lucy Villanueva of Sherman, Ricky Belcher and Randy Belcher both of Fort Worth and Ronnie Barnard of Waco; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his ex-wife, Patricia Belcher of Sherman; and three brothers, Ray Belcher of Abilene, Freeland Belcher of Mount Vernon, Wash., and Felton Belcher of Talco.”
