| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, July 29, 2009: “Shawndara Lynn ‘Shawnee’ Bradford Underwood passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Woodland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Cates officiating. Interment follows in Woodland Cemetery. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 22, 1971, to Ron and Lynn Bradford in Norwalk, Calif. She was raised in California until her teen years when she came to live in Texas with her grandparents. While growing up in California, she was involved in many activities. She sang in choirs, danced in dance groups, was a cheerleader, played softball and found her love for horses while living in Norco, Calif. She was an excellent student making straight As all throughout school. She was adventurous and willing to give anything a try and always excelling at what she did. She was fun loving, kind, caring and a beautiful human being. She came to Texas in her teens and resided with her grandparents, Ted and Charlotte Yoakum in Woodland. She loved living out in the country because she loved the outdoors. As a young adult she was married and settled in Idabel, Okla., where she had two beautiful daughters, Caitlyn and Bailey Underwood. She eventually moved back to Woodland and had a third daughter Gracie Newlon. Her daughters were her life and she loved them with all of her heart and soul. She is survived by her parents, Ron and Lynn Bradford; her brother, Damien Ruiz; her three daughters, Caitlyn Rae Underwood, Bailey Deane Underwood and Gracie Monohn Michelle Newlon; her grandmother, Charlotte Yoakum; her uncles and aunts, Sam and Doreen Markham, Ron and Donna Clark and Bo Markham; her first cousins, Marcus and Krista Morrison, Scott and Samantha Suzuki, Jarrett Markham, Chris Roth, Kevin Roth and Kelly Roth; and her precious little cousins, Natalie Morrison, Madison Morrison, Spencer Suzuki and Sawyer Suzuki. She is also survived by two great-aunts, Betty Swindle and Frances Lee; as well as a large extended family and many friends. Shawnee was a blessing to her family and she touched our lives with all of her love. She will be missed very much, but now she can rest comfortably in the arms of her maker. Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Markham, Bo Markham, Marcus Morrison, Ron Clark, John Carter, Norman Grant and Anthony Bivings. Honorary pallbearers will be Britton Lee, Randall Lee, Wesley Carter, Jay Swindle, Jeff Chapman, Ryan McMakin and Jesse Swindle.
