THE PARIS NEWS, Apr. 02, 2009: “BOGATA, Mary Frances Barnes, 86, formerly of Red River County died Monday, March 30, in Northwood Healthcare Center in Marble Falls. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, under the Pavillion of Bogata Cemetery. Wood Funeral Home makes burial in Bogata Cemetery. The family receives friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born June 1, 1922, in the Morris Chapel Community of Red River County, the daughter of John and Bess Hudson Forester. She operated a health food store in Tyler for some 30 years. She is survived by a daughter, Terreva Scoggins of Santa Fe, N.M., and two sons, Stan Barnes and wife, Patsy, of Horseshoe Bay and Don Barnes and wife, Sandra, of Arlington; seven grandchildren, Gary Barnes, Donna Barnes, Mark Scoggins, Scott Barnes, Brandon Barnes, Matthew Scoggins and Michael Barnes and two great-grandchildren, Will and Libby Barnes. If desired, the family requests memorials be made to Bogata Cemetery Association, 104 Mount Vernon Rd., Bogata, TX. 75417.”
