THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 13, 2009: “COLORADO CITY, O. B. Trulock Jr., 86, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, in Colorado City. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garold Waters and the Rev. Monte Wike officiating. Burial follows in Colorado City Cemetery. The family receives friends Thursday at the funeral home. He was born Dec. 29, 1922, in Paris, to Oren B. and Edna Trulock. He moved to Colorado City in 1937 and graduated from Colorado High School in 1939. He attended Paris Junior College and graduated from Texas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bacteriology. He served in World War II for three years in the Army Air Transport Command in North Africa. Following the war he returned to Colorado City where he worked with his father and uncle in farming and ranching. On Nov. 10, 1949, he married Ola Margaret Leath in Snyder. They raised three sons who continued in their father’s vocation. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, and a grandson, Jacob Trulock. He leaves behind his wife, Margaret Trulock of Colorado City; sons, Johnny Trulock and wife, Debbie, of Colorado City, Blake and Bri Burnett of Sweetwater, Jimmy Trulcock of Colorado City and Jeff Trulock and wife, Carol, of Snyder; step-brother, C. A. Wilkins and wife, Marian, of Waco; cousins, Margaret Latimer of Colorado City, Jane Majors of Odessa and Joe Ed Young and wife, Gayle, of Weatherford. If desired, memorials to O. B. may be made to a charity of your choice or to the following: Valley Fair Lodge Nursing Home, 15th and Chestnut Streets, Colorado City, TX. 79512 or Home Hospice, 1822 26th St. Snyder, TX., Big Spring, TX. 79720.”
