THE PARIS NEWS, Jan. 22, 2009: “CLARKSVILLE, Regina Riggins Brannan, 72, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Regency Health Care Center. Graveside funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial follows under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. She was born May 7, 1936, in DeKalb, to Hershal and Imogene Smith Riggins. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church. Chuck and Angie’s friends considered Regina their extended mother. She was preceded in death by her parents and her father and mother-in-law, Calvin and Bea Brannan. Survivors include her husband, Mack Brannan of Clarksville; son, Chuck Brannan and wife, Jill, of Clarksville; daughter, Angie Potts and husband, Tony, of Clarksville; grandchildren, Jared Brannan, Ty Castaneda and Ronnie Potts; sisters, Gail Warrington and husband, Don, of Maud and Cathy Whitecotten and husband, Jimmy, of Garland; brothers, Jimmy Riggins and wife, Linda, of Bellview, Wash. and Bobby Riggins of Dallas. Pallbearers are Marty Daniell, Bruce Whitten, Britt Brannan, Bruce Brannan, Ryan Byrd and Casey Ward. If desired, memorials may be sent in Regina’s name to the American Cancer Society.
