THE PARIS NEWS, Sept. 25, 2008: "CLARKSVILLE, Mildredge Taylor, 85, of Red River County passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, in San Antonio. Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in Warthan Cemetery with the Rev. Dink Benton officiating. Burial is under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Clarksville Funeral Home. She was born July 25, 1923, in the Cuthand community of Red River County, to Roy M. and Annie Latimer Capps. She was a member of McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Capps; and two sons, Jimmy Taylor and Gary Warthan. Survivors include a son, Ben Warthan and wife, Becky, of San Antonio; daughter, Kathy Green and husband, Jack, of Dallas; sister, Trullas Howland of El Dorado, Ark.; brother, Gerald Capps and wife, Ruby, of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Bruce Shimpock, Jack Green, Kevin Green, Derrik Williams, Larry Emery and Bobby Warthan. Online condolences may be made to the Taylor family at www.clarksvillefuneralhome.com."
