THE PARIS NEWS, Jan. 11, 2009: “Pamelia Ann Blackburn Urbano, 71, of Paris died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Patrick Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. She was born Aug. 23, 1937, to Marshall and Ruby Miller Blackburn. After graduation from Paris High School and Paris Junior College, She began a life-long career of 43 years as a customer service representative at First Federal Community Bank. She was very active in the Paris Business and Professional Women’s Club serving as its president and was named B&PW’s Woman of the Year. She was a member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Miller and Debbye Urbano of Pattonville; two granddaughters, Rachele Nicole Urbano Estes and husband, Steven, of Biardstown and Kellye Anne Urbano of Pattonville; two great-grandsons, Wesley and Ethan Estes; her brother, John Marshall Blackburn and wife, Ellen, of Chehalis, Wash.; two nieces, Karen Blackburn of Pomona, Calif., and Tracy Whitlock of Provo, Utah; and a special friend, Albygail Clarke of Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Paul Vinson, Paul Garrett, Derald Bulls, Carl Haggard, Willie Crossland, and Danny White.
