THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 29, 2007: "Betty J. Brown, 73, of Paris died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Dr. J. R. Mosley officiating. Interment follows in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral Home. She was born July 20, 1934, in Lamar County, to the late Coleman and Pearl Randall Ray. She was a graduate of Gibbons High School. She was retired from Campbell Soup, Inc., and was currently employed at Paris Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Glenn Paul Brown and wife, Mary, of Texaraka and Michael Brown of Paris; daughters, Sheila Moore and husband, Vernon, of Paris and Renita Brown and husband, pastor Garry Brown; her mother, Pearl Randall of Paris; brother, Marion Ray of Kansas City, Kan.; sisters, Violet Jamison of Dallas, Wilana Wright of Mitchellville, Md., Shirley McDonald of The Colony and Louise Webb of Paris; five grandchilden and six great-grandchildren."
