THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 26, 2007: "Mary Barber, 73, of Sumner, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at Paris Healthcare Center. Graveside rites have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Little Vine Cemetery with the Rev. Willie Rhoades officiating. The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. She was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Maxey, to Earl 'Slim' Walker and Mayburn Flossie Leatherwood Walker. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She married George 'Wayne' Barber on July 9, 1955, in Paris. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Claude Earl Walker. She is survived by her husband; children, Tommy Barber, Tammy Nicholson and husband, Jimmy, grandchildren; Brian Honeycutt, Ashley Nicholson, Misti Dawn Nicholson, Julia Nicholson; sisters, Wanda Walker Kimball, Glenda Walker Neisler and husband, Donnie. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry McCarter, Johnny McCarter, Dickie Basinger, Chuck Morris, Donald Neisler, Joel Peace and Mike Crews.
