| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 06, 2008: "Mildred Barrett, 89, of Paris passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into its care. Her personal request was for no funeral services. She will be buried in Evergreen Cemetery, next to her husband. She will lie in state at the funeral home prior to her burial. She was born May 13, 1919, in Wichita Falls, to John Lancaster and Minnie Stinnett Lancaster. She married Edward Barrett in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1985. During their married years, they owned and operated several motels in East Texas. Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gene Barrett; a sister, Evelyn Tidwell; and brothers, Lloyd and Donald Lancaster. Survivors include one grandson, Lance Barrett of San Francisco, Calif.; one granddaughter, Kendra Barrett of San Francisco, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
