| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 12, 2008: "DEPORT, Charles Ronald Benedict, 56, of Paris and formerly of McCrury, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Kindred Hospital of Dallas. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Wood Funeral Homes with Reverend Mark Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow in McCrury Cemetery. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born Oct. 10, 1952 in Jacksonville, to Daris and Pauline Jewett Benedict. He attended Pathway International Church of God. On Jan. 7, 1984, he married Peggy Trussell. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2004. He then married Johnnie Westbrook, on May 19, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara McCoy. He is survived by his wife; his sons, Derrick Benedict and wife, Carrie, of Powderly, and Jason Benedict and wife, Cassie, of Paris; brothers, Dean McCoy and wife, Shirley, of Pattonville and Laney Benedict and wife, Norma, of Deport; sisters, Louise Kyle of Paris, Betty Nichols and husband, Paul, of Deport, and Delores Kyle and husband, Jerry, of Paris; grandchildren, Ashton, Kae'ton, Riley, Makenzie, Dakota and Ashley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wood Funeral Homes have charge of the arrangements." |
