| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, June 10, 2008: "MOUNT PLEASANT, Arnold Bowman, 79, of Mount Pleasant died Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home. Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Monticello Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Paris, to Brice Bowman and Emma Long Bowman. He was a Baptist and was a member of Mount Pleasant Bass Club. He was a warehouse man and worked at TXU. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Bowman; mother, Emma Long Bowman; and father, Brice Bowman. Survivors include his wife, Trula 'Tully' Mae Williams Bowman of Mount Pleasant; son, Mike Bowman of Mount Pleasant; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Charlie Russell of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Jeff and Chuck Florey, Justin and Gretchin and Chris Russell; brothers, Charles and Thomas Bowman, of Paris, John Bowman, of Sulphur Springs, Dale Bowman, of Lancaster, and Jerry Bowman, of Albuquerque; and sisters, Marie Haney and Mattie Cunningham, both of Paris." |
