THE PARIS NEWS, June 08, 2008: "Louise G. Browning, of Detroit, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008 in Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Draper officiating. Burial will follow in the Detroit Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, at the funeral home and at the residence of Christy and Derik Harris at 1050 N.E. 35th St. in Paris at other times. She was born on Dec. 16, 1924 in Crichton, Ala., a daughter of Phillip and Verma Strickland Graham. She was retired, was a homemaker, loved working in her flower beds, and was an active member of First Assembly of God Detroit. She truly loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Joseph Fritz Browning on January 6, 1947 in Pascagoula, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Billy Joseph Browning and David Floyd Browning; a precious granddaughter, Angela Faye Smith; her parents; and all of her 12 siblings. Mrs. Browning is survived by her children, Mack and Patsy Thoms Cleere, of Paris, Peggy Lewis, of Paris, Johnny and Kathy Browning, of Mobile, Ala., Freddie Browning, of Dallas, Rev. Jack and Denise Browning, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Rev. Tommy Browning, Greenville, Ill.; daughters-in-law, Connie Browning, of Graham, Doris Browning of Dallas; grandchildren, Kourtniee Johnson, of Reno, Shawn Surface, of Keller, Christy Harris and Juliee Strain, of Paris, Jennifer and William Jack Browning II and Amanda Larter, all of Broken Arrow, Okla., Dusty Browning, of Avery, Zackary Browning, of Graham, Candice Browning Whitaker, of Cottonwood, Ariz., Linda and Pete Burns of Daphney, Ala., Lori and Ted Stucky, Rev. Robert Browning and Sarah Damran, all of Mobile, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Alexis Browning, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Jordan Garza and Victoria Harris, of Paris, Jared Thompson, of Mesquite, Grayson Strain, of Paris, Carson Browning, of Avery, Dariene and Calbe Damran, Hayden and Brady Stucky, all of Mobile, Ala., and Josh Burns, of Daphney, Ala., and the 13th great-grandchild is due in September of this year.
