| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, June 06, 2008: "Leroy Thomas, 64, of Cooper died Monday, June 2, 2008, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Preston officiating. Interment follows in New Home Cemetery in Cooper under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. He was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Cooper, to the late Terry and Dela Pollard Thomas. He was previously employed by Cooper ISD and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He is survived by his daughters, Daniele Thomas, of Los Angeles, Calif.; step-daughter, Tracie Ruben, of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers, Joe L. Thomas, of Cooper, John Thomas, of Los Angeles, Calif., Carlton Thomas, of Iowa and Gil Thomas, of Dallas; sisters, Patricia Thomas, and Sandra Thompson, both of Richardson; three grandchildren." |
