THE PARIS NEWS, June 04, 2007: "Robbie Wayne Briggle, 87, of Bonham, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham. Military graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Mount Tabor Cemetery with Patrick Cannon officiating. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Briggle was born Sept. 2, 1919, in Honey Grove, to Charles and Virginia Davis Briggle. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and married Juanita M. Harmon in Honey Grove on April 22, 1942. She died Feb. 16, 1996. The Briggles lived in Midland for many years and he moved back to the Paris area following the death of his wife. He was a certified automobile mechanic and transmission specialist. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters and a son-in-law, David Smith. He is survived by seven children, Donna J. Smith of Pampa, Robbie Neil Briggle and wife, Alice, of Killeen, Peggy J. Nutt of Mansfield, Reggie Briggle and wife, Beverly, of Los Alamos, N.M., Jenny Gunnels and husband, Jimmy, of Carlsbad, TX., Darrell W. Briggle and wife, Mary, of Bogata and Rusty Briggle and wife, Sylvia, of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, Lee Briggle, Gina Powell, Aleysha Van Duyn, Jonathan Briggle, Jay Lynn Gunnels, Christina L. Day, Glen Briggle, Douglas Briggle and Amy C. Nutt; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Faye Everett of Paris.
