THE PARIS NEWS, May 06, 2007: "Vickie Brown, 55, of Paris, died and three other people suffered injuries about 11:15 a.m. Saturday when a white Nissan Altima traveling west on Loop 286 collided with a green Dodge Stratus traveling south on Jefferson Road and attempting to cross the loop. All three injured persons were taken to Paris Regional Medical Center, where one was transferred by helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. The names of the injured victims were not released Saturday pending notification of the next of kin. The loop remained open, but traffic was routed around the accident site for several hours."

THE PARIS NEWS, May 09, 2007: "Vickie Ann Todd Brown, 55, loving mother and grandmother, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Paris Regional Medical Center. An announcement of a memorial service will be made at a later date. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. She was born Dec. 8, 1951, in Paris, to Robert Lee and Martha Ann Barton Todd. She lived many years in Corpus Christi and recently moved back to Paris. She was a member of the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Todd and her step-father, Herbert Fox. Survivors include her mother, Martha Barton Todd Fox of Paris; her sister, Tawana Stewart and husband, Mark, of Reno; her son, Tod Headen and wife, Janelle, of Corpus Christi; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Christopher, Matthew, April and Dylan; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. If desired, memorials may be made to the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ Latch Key Program, 3535 Lamar Ave., Paris, TX 75460. THE PARIS NEWS, July 08, 2007: "Vickie Ann Brown died Saturday, May 5, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident. A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ with Dr. Jimmye Newman, Robert Johnson and David Fox officiating. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements."
