THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 04, 2008: "Philip Thomas 'Tommy' Ingram, 61, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 2, 2008, at his residence, after a brave battle with cancer. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, in the Red Hill Cemetery with James McLeod, Jon Scott and Gary Regan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home. He was born April 4, 1946, in Paris, a son of Philip and Madeline Peters Ingram. He attended Paris Schools and was a member of Chisum Trail Cowboy Church. He was an over-the-road driver for 43 years. He and his father were trucking partners for 20 years. He worked for Merico Inc./Earthgrains for 20 years, receiving the million mile safe driver award, and at the time of his death had worked for Crete Carrier for 10 years. He married Glenna Rook on April 4, 1992, in Paris. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob 'Chief' Ingram; and a brother-in-law, Jimmie King. He is survived by his wife, and son, Garet of the home; sons, Shane Ingram, Rio Ingram and wife Kelly, and Jason Ingram and wife, Kendra, all of Charleston; two step-sons, Mike Peace and wife, Shanna of Kyle and Mark Peace of Arlington; brother, Scott Ingram of Charleston; sister, Ruth Ann Ingram King, of Paris; sister-in-law, Ora Dee Ingram, of Mesquite; grandchildren, Jacey, Taylor, Caleb, Cord, Clay, Tommy Shane, Madeline, Jacob, Colin, Journi and Cannon Ingram, and Kallie Peace, Rachel Peace and Jonathan Peace; several nieces and nephews; and two uncles and an aunt. Pallbearers will be his sons, Shane, Rio, Jason, Garet, Mike Peace and Mark Peace. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Boss, Earl Ingram and Rhett King. If desired, in lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the Chisum Trail Cowboy Church, 3575 FM 2648, Powderly, TX. 75473. Online condolences maybe made to the Ingram family by visiting www.fry-gibbs.com. He believed in God his entire life and taught his children the love and forgiveness of the Lord. He cherished his family and was extremely proud of his sons."
