THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 10, 2008: "The Rev. Carlton Louis Brown, 57, of Paris died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. David Moore officiating. Interment follows in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 19, 1950, in Paris, to the late Jimmy and Sarah Frances Brown King. He is survived by his wife, Edith McFalls-King; son, Carlton Brown Jr. of The Colony; two daughters, Evette Brown and Renita Brown, both of Paris; mother-in-law, Arzea McFalls of Paris; sisters, Wiletta Lynch of Cleveland, Ohio, Debra Sumerka of Cleveland, Ohio and Kathy Beadle of Los Angeles, Calif."

He is survived by his wife, Edith McFalls-Brown; son, Carlton Brown Jr. of The Colony; two daughters, Evette Brown and Renita Brown, both of The Colony; mother-in-law, Arzea McFalls of Paris; sisters, Wiletta Lynch of Cleveland, Ohio, Debra Sumerka of Cleveland, Ohio and Kathy Beadle of Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews."
