THE PARIS NEWS, Dec. 31, 2006: "Kathryn D. Barnett, 84, of Paris went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. David Gillean officiating. She was born March 5, 1922, in Novice, a daughter of Jesse and Carrie Baker England. She married Raymon W. Barnett Nov. 28, 1952, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was a homemaker, and was known for her hand-stitched flower garden quilts. She was a woman of integrity. She loved God and she loved God's people. She served as an elder and was always as involved as possible in the ministry of Tudor Street Gospel Mission. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Harris Bost; son, Roger Barnett; grandchildren, Leslie Scott Harris and Cody Barnett; brothers, Cleburne England, Snookum England, Leonard England, Jimmy Henry, Tubby LaFlore and Phelon LaFlore; and a sister, Thelma England Watson. Survivors include children, Sonny Harris and wife, Char, Scott Harris and wife, Sherri, James Barnett and wife, Mary, Don Barnett, Kathy Barnett Gillean and husband, David; 24 grandchildren, Cindy Lawson, Lee Martin, J Kevin Harris, Yvonne Woodall, Lenita Gibbons, Joe Smalling, Robert Bost Jr., Billy Harris, Jennifer Wright, Kevin James Harris, Trevor Harris, Leslie Harris, Kim Earls, Brenda Story, Nikki Barnett, Joy Hill, Sean Barnett, Kyle Barnett, Amber Barnett, Ricky Gillean, Lori Nixon and Caleb Gillean; 40 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, J L England, Glen Henry, Coy Henry and Grover Henry; and a sister, Bettie Henry Jarrett.
