THE PARIS NEWS, Jan. 24, 2008: "CLARKSVILLE, Alice 'Tennie' Booth, 76, of DeKalb went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, in Christus St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana. She has been reunited with her loving husband of 54 years, B. A. Booth. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Floyd McMillan and Betty Webb officiating. Burial follows in Boxelder Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born on June 1, 1931, in the Boxelder community, to Arthur and Elizabeth Phillips Baird. She was a member of Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Floyd Baird; and a sister, Floye Collins. Survivors include two sons, Benny Booth and wife, Paula, of DeKalb, Buddy Booth and wife, Lynette, of Boxelder; daughters, Lynda Grant and husband, Tim, of Longview and Sarah Provence and husband, Richard, of DeKalb; sisters, Maggie Northcutt of Avery, Alver Shumake of DeKalb, Frances Murphree of Alexandria, La., Jackie Kimble of DeKalb and Mary Ruth Combs of Mineola; brother, L. J. Baird of Henderson; grandchildren, Jennifer Grant Burris and husband, John, Jessica Hooks and husband, Brandon, Anthony Booth and wife, Jennifer, Zachary Booth, Brandi Booth, Kristin and Ashley Booth; three great-grandchildren, Grant Burris, Erin Burris and Ian Burris. Pallbearers are Bobby Freeman, Mike Fenner, Bobby Northcutt, Cody Booth, Ed Stephenson, Jackie Shumake, Ross Schwab and Ray McGregor. If desired, memorials may be made to the Concerned Citizens of Red River County, P.O. Box 384, Avery, TX 75554."
