THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 25, 2007: "McALESTER, Okla., Edith Joyce Bartlett, 75, of McAlester, Okla., died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Bethel Cemetery in Fulbright with the Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. Interment follows in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. She was born March 22, 1931, in Fulbright, to Lucious and Dessie Mae Hannah Stevens. She attended school in Fulbright and married William Vern Bartlett on March 21, 1959, in Clarksville and he preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1986. She worked for Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Paris as a machine operator for 33 years until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Blossom. She loved to read and enjoyed the precious time she was able to spend with her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lucious and Dessie Mae Hannah Stevens. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and James Dunagan of Rotan, Judy and Norman Farmer of McAlester; two grandchildren, Mark Dunagan of Rotan, and Lorie Wilson and husband, Dennis, of McAlester; and two great-grandchildren, Ashlee Lynn Dunagan and Caleb Mark Dunagan, both of Paris. Honorary pallbearers are Phil Williams, John Dunagan and Ashlee Dunagan."
