THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, March 18, 1958: "W. F. Turner - William F. Turner, 74, a retired Lamar County farmer, died of illness Tuesday about 12:30 a.m. at 1410 Belmont, where he made his home with a son E. F. Turner. Born at Garretts Bluff in 1884, William Tuner was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Turner. The funeral, Thursday at 2 p.m., Will be held at Fry-Gibbs chapel here, and burial made in Blanton Creek Cemetery in Red River County. Besides his wife, Ola, he leaves these children: Mrs. Cora Barnes, Idabel, Okla.; Mrs. Rosa Duckworth, Cooper; Mrs. Lillie Mae Davis, Tyler, and his son here, besides a stepson, O. C. Henson, whom he reared from infancey, and 19 grandchildren."
