THE PARIS NEWS,  Sep. 06, 2006:  "Gregory Allen Treadwell, 58, of Paris died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at Paris Regional Medical Center.  Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Newman officiating.  Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.  The family receives friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  He was born Jan. 25, 1948, in Odessa, to Walter Allen and Eva Lavina Cole Treadwell.  He graduated from Paris High School and served in the United States Air Force.  He was a mechanic by trade.  He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Treadwell; and his step-father, Ward Leach.  He is survived by three children, Melanie of Washington, and Krystal and Jason Treadwell, both of California; two grandchildren; his mother, Eva Leach of Paris; three brothers, Mark Treadwell and wife, Juanita, of Houston, Bill Leach and wife, Lisa, of Paris, and Cliff Leach and wife, Denise, of Paris; three half-brothers, Art Treadwell and wife, Janet, of Florida, Michael Treadwell and wife, Lisa, of Puerto Rico, and Aiji Treadwell and wife, Doreen, of Vista, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.fry-gibbs.com."

Tombstone is inscribed, "SSGT - US Air Force."
