| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Sep 5, 1983: “Tyron Joe Tennon, known as Joe McGrew, 414-2nd NE, died Friday, Sept. 2, in a drowning accident. Services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 2:30 p.m. at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. LaFrand Frison officiating. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery. He was born July 5, 1970, in Paris, a son of Floyd Tennon of Roxton and Ida Mae Robinson McGrew of Paris. He was a member of Martin Chapel CME Church in Roxton. After the family moved to Paris he attended Johnson Chapel CME Church. He attended Crockett Middle School and was a member of Paris Boxing Club and had won a number of trophies. Surviving are his parents; two brothers, John Earl McGrew and Ronnie Lee Tennon, both of Paris; six sisters, Cynthia Norris, Pamela Manjane, Mabel Marie Tennon, Rita Louise Tennon, Charlita Tennon and Bridget Tennon, all of Paris; one aunt, Mabel Tennon of Denver, Colo,; one uncle, Roy Lee Robinson of Midland.” Submitted by Carol Campbell. |
